I'm not a person who likes to express. When you see my paintings you should feel that. When the audience looks at my painting and thinks about what I want to say, they will find that the information in the painting is very little and not very understandable. At last, they may feel that the author probably didn't intend to say anything. In fact, I have a lot of ideas in my mind, but often I can't say.

My painting is very similar to me. All the images in the painting are composed of my thoughts, character, interest and aesthetics. Only because of these factors can this painting exist. So my paintings are just like me, not very talkative.

I don't like to convey certain information through some typical, clearly pointed symbols, on the contrary, I intentionally reduce the number of elements in the picture to the greatest extent. For example, in "island", there are only islands, reflections and sea.

Every symbol, every image, every texture and even every material has its own language. They will convey information to the audience. It is very difficult and crucial for the artist to accurately select these factors and put them into his works. For my current ability and what I want to show, the best way is to do subtraction, not allow redundant factors to disperse the power of the picture, not make any redundant voice, convey inaccurate information, so as to interfere with the feelings of the audience.

I want to make my picture more pure and balanced.

What I want to express is also very pure, that is, "people".

Art is closely related to people. My art is the exploration of self, not only my own, but also the root and deep exploration of human beings.

The only three elements in the island: the sea symbolizes the origin of human beings, tolerance and nurture, and calm; the prototype of the island is human body, which represents my body and also represents human beings; the reflection is like a mirror, which represents self-examination and self reflection. In fact, I describe a process of self-examination. I have arrived at a pure land of mind by eliminating all external interference. There is nothing here, no fame and position, no joy and sorrow, no friendship and conflict. There is only myself here.

Most of my paintings are surrealist paintings. Surrealist techniques can better express what I want to describe, and are more suitable for the expression of emotions and atmosphere. I think surrealism is actually depicting the world in a sense. The real world is not only what we see with our eyes, but also something that is absurd, inconceivable, elusive and unanswered.

In order to better express my thinking and understanding of people and reality, I will carefully consider every point in the picture.

I will blur the content of my picture, hide all the details, make the things in the picture obscure each other, make all the elements in the picture cancel each other, and make the picture reach a fuzzy, mysterious, balanced and quiet atmosphere. I want to make my picture atmosphere more close to the real and unconscious spiritual world of people, and I hope it can also arouse the audience's self and internal thinking.

My original intention in painting these paintings is to express myself and vent my emotions. I used to want to walk into the public's eyes like a star or public intellectual, express my thoughts, show my personality and influence the public. But in fact, I'm very timid in this respect, I don't like to appear in the public, I don't like to talk with people, and I never want to share my thoughts and feelings with others. The desire I desire to express conflicts with the character I fear to express. The long suppressed emotion and impulse to express make me eager to find a breakthrough, that is painting.

Painting has become a way of expression for me. I usually use painting to express my unspeakable ideas and emotions. My paintings are the embodiment of my personality and thoughts. Instead of me, they stand in front of people's eyes, communicate with people, and accept the public's eyes and judgments, criticism or appreciation.

The definition and status of painting and art in everyone's mind may be different. Some people think that art is supreme and can devote themselves to it. Some people think that it is a high-end luxury of spiritual life, just like commodities. Some people think that it is something that they can't understand and make sense of. For me, they are not special things, just like other things in life, simple and ordinary exist in my life, very close to me.

Painting is like another mouth of mine, telling my own thoughts in my own language.
